Grassroots works in consonance with the locals, ensuring they come first. Instead of competing with them, we enhance their skills and produce, prioritizing the local economy. We have also trained and absorbed them into our workforce at our Glamping Resort in Wayanad.
Grassroots Wayanad is a culmination of alternative choices made by a young and budding entrepreneur, Aditya Raman, supported by his family. Rachel and Ravi, Adi's parents understood that an apprentice education as has been the norm through centuries was the way ahead for Adi rather than a pedagogic one.
Aditya’s training included being mentored by Chefs at of Olive Beach in Bengaluru, few months as a teacher at a tribal school in BR Hills and a couple of years as an intern with a hotelier friend in Rajasthan. Alongside, Rachel and Ravi helped Adi set up the five luxury tents aimed at providing personalised holidays for guests. Thus started the journey of Grassroots Wayanad with Adi bringing in his expertise and brilliant tastes in food and music to create a bohemian paradise amidst nature's wonderland of Wayanad.
